Title: Adonai Watches Over the Path of the Righteous

Scripture references:  Psalm 1:6; Psalm 121:3-8; Psalm 145:20; and 1 Samuel 2:9

The viewer stands looking toward heaven.  The path is open.  At either side of the Way, angels step forth into the realm of visibility from heavenly planes.  These are Guardian angels, watchers and protectors.  Each is as some portion of the world’s people might see them, somewhat in appearance like themselves.  They become visible in human likeness because they are there to grant safe passage and assurance, whereas when angels in the Bible appeared, their form and countenance struck fear into the beholder, and their first words were most often, “Fear not!”

The golden paving stones clearly mark the way, and the Light from heaven comes like living water cascading down toward the viewer.  The path to heaven then leaves what looks familiar, eventually ascending into the clouds, in whose shapes are the ethereal features of God Himself.  On His head is a golden crown, the redeemed crown of thorns, the city of New Jerusalem.  In the clouds and the background behind the angels are other faces, elders in the Lord who have gone on before us.

The invitation is open to all.  The path is protected.  Will you come up?

Hidden Image Descriptions:

Box 1 This angel’s wings are also made of faces.

Box 2 Beginning at the place where the path enters the clouds, faces are incorporated in them, some clearly bearded, which is one of the reasons that I called them elders.  At the center of the clouds a face formed which I feel Holy Spirit said is representative of God.  Sometimes it appears slightly feminine, but viewed from other angles it appears very masculine.

Box 3 I really didn’t see anything in this portion of the painting, at first.  Another person found more faces here, and others since have seen them, too.  You may even find images in the golden path that I have not found.  Enjoy the search!
